What to Do at Bouyouti

A Day Well Spent

Take a dip in our outdoor swimming pools. Enjoy a walk along our hiking trail. Unwind in our spa and wellness area. Roam around the premises and discover the charm of our on-site natural cave. Order a tuk-tuk and visit our church. Ask the staff to play Ave Maria in the background, and for a heartfelt moment, read the letters written by the owner to his parents. Then, cheer up at the Arak distillery. And if you’re just feeling tired, relax under the pergola or play board games in the glasshouse.

Sunsets

End the Day in Color

Bouyouti sunsets are worth staying up for. Grab a blanket or a glass of wine and settle in. Whether you’re sitting by the pool, on your terrace, at the Sunset bar or simply leaning back under the trees, each sunset here leaves its mark. No two are ever the same, and yet every one feels unforgettable.

Featured Experience

Arak Tasting

Arak is a traditional Lebanese spirit, anise-flavored, that turns milky when mixed with water. It’s usually sipped slowly, accompanied by small plates of mezza like olives and cheese. The drink’s strong licorice flavor and smooth kick are enjoyed in a relaxed, social setting. It’s often shared with family and friends, symbolizing Lebanese hospitality and tradition. The experience is as much about connection as it is about the drink itself.

For Culture & History Enthusiasts

Step beyond Bouyouti and you’ll find yourself surrounded by a living history. Deir el Qamar, with its preserved stone houses, cobbled streets, and layered architecture, feels less like a village and more like an open-air museum. Just nearby, Beiteddine Palace tells a grander story: of emirs, artistry, and Ottoman elegance. Across the valley, Mir Amine Palace sits quietly, its arches and courtyards recalling the final chapters of Lebanon’s princely past. Between these landmarks, you’ll discover hidden chapels, the country’s oldest mosque, and mouneh shops where time-honored recipes are passed down like heirlooms. Even the eccentric Moussa Castle, built by one man’s hands and imagination, has a place in this intricate patchwork of memory.

Don’t follow a route follow your curiosity. The most meaningful finds in the Chouf often come unannounced: a conversation on a doorstep, a garden glimpsed through an old gate, a scent that draws you in. Leave space for the unexpected.
